A weaver of stories, making art as an expression of admiration for the mysterious and wonderous encounters in life. Art that is living and breathing, which requires presence, slowing, listening. The work I create comes from this place of wondering, and curiosity; Comes from always arriving, from sitting with questions until more questions arise. This art finds its form in many mediums, is woven through the fabric of life, is an attempt to speak with that which is unknown and learn how to hear it.

My name is Dimitra A. Roussakis, creator of The Sacred Way. I studied Fine Arts and Sustainability at OCADU. My fascination with the nature of human creativity, systems thinking and the dynamics governing individual and societal health, led me to pursue studies in Permaculture, Ecovillage Design, Somatic Therapy, Cosmic Ecology and Chinese Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture. Working in a variety of mediums, my work is a process of investigation, a means to express appreciation and admiration for the beauty and wonder of nature, and a necessity. My creative practice takes many shapes whether through drawing, dancing, painting, walking, drumming or singing; Providing both nourishment and challenge, and always inviting learning, growth, and gratitude.

I currently reside in Ontario, Dancing between the quiet of the Bruce/Saugeen Peninsula, and vibrant and diverse city Toronto. I practice Qi Gong and am an official lineage holder in Taiji Quan.
